This programme is funded by the Spanish Government through the “Millennium Development Goals Achievement Fund”, and aims to implement pre-emptive measures to ease tensions between key marginalized communities in the north, that play a critical role in the political and social stability in the country.
Mouvement Social is implementing a part of this programme, that Lebanese Government, local authorities of targeted areas, civil society organizations and UNDP, ILO, UNICEF, UNFPA, UNRWA, UNESCO contributed to its design, launching, implementation and monitoring.
Mouvement Social’s work consists of: - Establishing Conflict resolution and Citizenship clubs in public schools, and coaching members to implement small projects of common interest in connection with the municipalities, as well as inter- and intra-communal. - Training of teachers and of trainers based on conflict resolution in a multi-religious and tensed political environment and on citizenship values for children and youth.
